Blendtec Recipes – Tortilla Soup In The Blendtec Blender
Blendtec Recipes that make you go hmmmm?
That’s exactly what I thought when I first found out that you could make a great tortilla soup in the Blendtec blender. But this has become one of my favorite Blendtec recipes and one that we make all the time.
The great thing about the Blendtec Blender is that you can actually boil soup in it. To me, this is what makes this the best blender that I have ever owned. The blade spins so fast that the friction of the blade against the food literally heats the food.
And this is one of the easiest Blendtec Recipes to make.
Here is the ingredient list…
- 3-4 tomatoes (such as Romas) cut in half
- A couple large carrots
- 1/2 Onion
- 1/2 Bunch of cilantro
- 1/2 seeded jalapeno (optional)
- 1 2″x2″ chunk of sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp taco seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 Chicken bouillon cube
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups hot tap water
Blendtec Recipes Directions:
Place the all of the ingrediants into the Blendtec blender jar in the order shown. Press the soup button. You may have to run the blender for two cycles if you like your soup extra hot like we do.
For a variation on these Blentec recipes, add any of the following and push the pulse button a couple of times.
1/2 cup canned black beans
1/2 cup cooked chicken (we also use the canned chicken if we are in a pinch)
1/2 cup canned corn
1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips
That’s it. As you can see from the ingredients list, this is one of the healthiest Blendtec recipes we have found and it’s great any time of year. We eat it all through the winter but it’s especially good in the summer with the majority of the vegetables coming from our garden
